                           Hindu Day Camp
Dear Parents,
Hi, my name is Prem Warde. I am director of the Jax Hindu Day Camp this year, along with my co-director Vishal Jain, and we are keeping the Hindu tradition alive by keeping the youth excited to come back and learn more about their culture.
Jax Hindu Day
Camp is a five day camp packed with exciting activities ranging from bhajan competitions to running down slip and  slides. Each morning begins with puja and is followed by  Chanting/Sanskrit class (where we teach campers new pujas  and bhajans). Afterwards, we teach campers about Hindu
philosophy
through Jeopardy competitions and role-play. In  the afternoon we allow kids to gain more of a summer  experience with sports and games, clubs and different  evening activities. On the last day of camp, we hold a  Parent Night at 6:45 for all adults to see how much their  child has learned throughout the camp.

The camp dates for this year are June 14th   to June 18th and it runs from 8:30am to  4:30pm. Only campers eight and older are allowed to attend  the camp. If your child is 16 years of age or older we
encourage him/her to apply as a counselor. The camper application process works on a first come first serve basis, so if you want to ensure your child a spot in the camp, submit your application as soon as possible. This is anonprofit camp and all proceeds go to the HSNEF [Temple]. It is run by directors and counselors who volunteer their time out of love for the camp. However, we also need parent support for the camp and we would greatly appreciate it if you would donate your time or resources to the camp. Please be sure to fill out the volunteer page on the application or contact us directly.

Attached to the email are the Camper and Counselor Applications. You may also receive a hard copy of the application at the Temple, as well as at select Indian stores and restaurants. You can directly contact me at jaxhindudaycamp@ gmail.com and/or (904) 962-4719. We look forward to seeing your kids at Jax Hindu Day Camp 2010!

   Sincerely,
   Prem and Vishal
